About me…

Hey guys, my name is Andy. I’m a middle school science teacher and lacrosse coach in Sun Prairie, WI. I was born and raised in De Pere, a suburb of Green Bay. I attended school at UW-Stevens Point for a fair amount of time, and my family has a cottage in Dyckesville. Due to this, I feel like I have a good feel for the different regions of this state, but obviously hope to get to them all.

My passion for this state is unrivaled, so I hope to share that with you guys in the pages of these blogs, and see where that takes me. Even if you don’t find a particular post intriguing or worth the read, I at least hope you’ll stay long enough until you find a post that does tickle your fancy.

If you’ve checked out the logo, you’ll see some of the representations of this state in my mind. A fish fry and an old fashioned is a weekly meal here. Beer and cheese are some of my favorites, and if I could live a life never worrying about calories or nutrients, those are the two I’d consume daily. And lastly, getting out into nature is important to me. Whether that’s a cabin in the Northwoods, a lazy canoe ride on a stream in the Driftless, or a hike in a state park, it’s important to embrace nature and escape the city and suburbs for a brief moment in time. I like to think my tastes (in both food/drink as well as interests) are very eclectic, so hopefully this blog has something for everyone.

But… if you’re not into cheese, beer, supper clubs, fishing/hunting, lonely roads in the middle of nowhere, antique stores inside of old barns, Da Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Badgers (or I guess Golden Eagles for those select few of you) deer and cows, farm fields and forests, cherries and cranberries, camping, glamping, or nature in general, then maybe this blog isn’t for you. If you’ve made it this far though, I doubt that’s you. Enjoy!
